(We’re not going to fully spoil the listening experience and tell you what is paired with what.) Some of them occur more then once, but these are in order of first appearance. So here’s a complete - we think, if you hear something we missed let us know - list of every song you’ll hear in Moulin Rouge. Instead of asking yourself, what was that three measures … it sounded familiar? We’ll just tell you and save you from Googling a lot of lyrics to confirm. Consider this your friendly listening guide to the show’s very full cast recording. The result is over 50 songs covering pop hits (you’ll find Sia, Katy Perry, and Walk the Moon), classical music (there is no shortage of Offenbach’s “Can Can”), and a little bit of everything in between. The new songs mash-up and interpolate tunes spanning decades. If you’ve ever fallen down a YouTube rabbit hole of c ollegiate a cappella competitions, expect a similar vibe. It’s got 17 tracks on it, including movie favorites like “Come What May” and “Your Song,” but for Broadway the songs you might know from the movie have gotten some new friends, too. Just think-that opening occurred as Tina Turner was touring in a singing group called The Kings of Rhythm as “Little Ann.” For both she and The Sound of Music, 1959 was a very important year.Moulin Rouge, the sparkling diamond of jukebox musicals and, to quote my colleague New York critic Sara Holdren, “ Broadway’s biggest karaoke night,” released its cast album on Friday. And so it has continued to be, encouraged, of course, by the film that 20th Century Fox made and released in 1965.īut no matter what one feels about Julie Andrews twirling on that gorgeous hillside, or the bicycles riding along that lake, know that it all began 61 years ago, on the same stage where today, the story of Tina Turner is being told. They couldn’t care less about the reviews. However, the authors and creative staff all went to the second night to see how a more regular audience would react, and in the words of Max Wilk, “From the moment Mary Martin began to sing ‘The Sound of Music,’ there was electricity in the theatre…” Out in the lobby at intermission, Oscar Hammerstein II turned to the rest of the group and said, “Make no mistake about it, this is a hit. Everyone connected with it was a seasoned pro, but still, this was a blow. There was one thing about the opening of The Sound of Music that went down in Broadway history: The critics didn’t much like the show. Encouraged by their lawyer to find a less generic title-also one that would be easier to brand-Richard Rodgers came up with The Sound of Music.Ĭheck Out These Original Hand-Written Lyrics to The Sound of Music Everyone agreed, and waited for Flower Drum Song to open in December of 1958 before diving headfirst into the show that was, at one point, called Love Story. We all have Rodgers and Hammerstein to thank for listening to the outline of Maria von Trapp’s story, and telling the star, the writers Howard Lindsay and Russel Crouse, producer Leland Hayward, and director Vincent Donohue that they felt an entirely new score felt like a better idea, and that the show really should be a full-out musical. Someone suggested that they ask their friends Dick Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein to write a few songs to augment the repertoire of what became known as The Trapp Family Singers. But the wise Broadway hands who were tasked with turning the story into a vehicle for their star wondered whether madrigals and folk songs would be acceptable in a world of Gypsy and Take Me Along. The show made of her story was originally going to be a play with music, since in life, Maria organized the family into a singing group. Wonderfully dramatic things happened-she and the captain fell in love and married. She found a bunch of children who were sorely in need of a different kind of discipline, and a captain who had closed himself off to almost everything emotional. It was, in fact, created around the star, based on a couple of German movies that were based on the memoirs of a feisty would-be nun who unexpectedly found a new occupation when sent as a nanny to the house of an autocratic captain in the Austrian navy (when Austria had enough of a coastline to warrant a navy). The woman from 61 years ago was Maria von Trapp, and she was played by one of Broadway’s leading ladies: Mary Martin. The musical soundtrack to that woman’s life was gentler, filled with madrigals, folk songs, and group harmonies. As with Tina, that show was centered around the life story of a singer, troubled but perhaps not tempestuous, and not one with Tina Turner’s electricity. With Tina the most recent tenant of the Lunt-Fontanne, one wonders if somewhere, lurking in the bones of the theatre, there’s something left from a very different opening that occurred 61 years ago.

The queen can move vertically, horizontally, or diagonally, and she can move as many spaces as you want. The king can move to any of the squares pointed to by an arrow in the diagram on the left. If you’re looking at the board, the queen should be placed on the left and the king should be placed on the right. The bishops can only move diagonally, but they can move as many squares as you want. Then, place the two bishops beside the knights. Knights are the only pieces on the board that can “jump” over other pieces. The knights can only move in an L-shaped pattern, where the long part of the L is two squares and the short part is one square. Then, place the two knights, which usually look like horses, beside the two rooks. Rooks can only move vertically or horizontally, but they can move as many squares as you want. To organize the back row, place the rooks, or towers, on either end. However, when you capture a piece with a pawn, the pawn moves diagonally. Pawns are the short pieces, and they can only move forward, one square at a time. Your pieces should be arranged in two rows: the back row should contain all of your special pieces, and the front row should contain all of your pawns. To set up a chess board, place all of the white pieces on one side and all of the black pieces on the other side. This can happen accidentally, but it’s more common when both players repeat the same move 3 times because nobody thinks they can win. A game also automatically ends in a draw if the same board state is achieved 3 times.A game also ends in a draw if the opponent has no legal move that they can make, such as if the king is trapped but also not in check.Games may also end in a draw if neither player can force a checkmate, such as if the kings are the only pieces left on the board.Let your opponent double-check if they can make a move before declaring yourself the winner! X Research source to move, the following captures are possible in the diagram on the left. When this happens, say “checkmate” out loud to declare the end of the game. None of the chess pieces may move to a square occupied by another chess piece. Checkmate occurs if you put your opponent’s king in check (meaning it is under direct threat) and they are incapable of moving the king or blocking the threat with another piece. The goal of chess is to capture your opponent’s king however, most games end before the capture when the opponent is unable to prevent their king from being captured. 1/1/2024 0 Comments Papyrus undertale wikiGravity Manipulation: Sans can throw you around the walls of the Bullet Board using telekinesis and make you heavier by turning your soul blue.Teleport: Sans can quickly travel or teleport using what he calls "Shortcut".you're just a dirty hacker, aren't you? yeah, get outta here" before hanging up. Somehow, Sans knows that he's really in a video game, because if the player gets an "Impossible Ending" by somehow meeting none of the requirements for completing Undertale or by hacking the game, Sans will explain in his phone call that the call is an error-handling message and will suggest contacting the developer so he can fix it or add another ending. Granted, Sans knew that Frisk would very likely end all timelines if they get past him, so this may be out of desperation to stop them, or out of spite for their murder of Papyrus and other monsters. He also seems to be quite patient, as shown by his willingness to use his "Special Attack" (which is nothing) until the end of time in order to bore the protagonist into quitting the game.Īs shown during his fight on a Genocide Route, Sans isn't above using underhanded tactics in battle, as shown when he tries to manipulate Frisk into sparing him, then killing them if they yield. or if he's just using it as an excuse to slack off. His laziness is noted again during the final fight in the Genocide Route - he is unsure if being somewhat aware of the timeline resetting has broken his spirit, knowing that everything he does will mean nothing. This is possibly due to his promise to Toriel to protect humans, as killing Frisk would obviously break the promise and he figures he has no choice but to do so on a Genocide Route. In the same case, he also seems to go missing, nowhere to be found until the end of the game.ĭespite this, he only fights Frisk on a Genocide Route, when they are a threat to the timelines. He will deeply resent Frisk if they kill Papyrus. He tends to say he hates to make promises, this is likely a result of having to harm a human, as he promised Toriel he would protect humans. He knows the number of times he had defeated the player (in Genocide Route). He is also very observant, and his lines and actions change the most through the path and the way of playing the game. In some Neutral Endings, Sans is afraid to tell Papyrus about other characters' deaths, so he lies about them going on a vacation. Sans worries about others hurting Papyrus or taking advantage of him. He also leaves a dirty sock in their living room for Papyrus to fuss over. He likes to mess with Papyrus, as he sends him "bad puns in a goofy font" on the UnderNet. He deeply cares for and admires his brother, Papyrus, and reads him bedtime stories. He is kind and reassuring, but becomes eerily serious at abrupt moments (particularly when angry). He enjoys making bad puns, usually relating to skeletons, to the annoyance of his brother. He does just enough work to avoid being fired by Undyne. Sans is shown to be very laid-back and flippant, sleeping on the job as often as he takes breaks. His white pupils tend to disappear when he is serious or angry and a bright cyan and yellow iris flashes in his left eye during the battle against him when he uses telekinesis. He is seen with a very large toothy grin at all times, and hardly moves the corners of his mouth. He has a huge round skull shaped similarly to a slice of bread and has large bags under his eye sockets, which have white glowing pupils floating in it. Sans is an extremely short and big-boned skeleton that wears mitten's, a blue hoodie that is unzipped at all times with a white tank-top underneath, black shorts with white strips, and salmon slippers according to his official Fangamer plushie and Super Smash Bros. 1/1/2024 0 Comments Tik tok pussy squirtView community ranking See how large this community is compared to the rest of Reddit.Maddy Fields TikTok. mother's black colleague and his cock.Maddy fields nudes Maddy Fields Leaks Free Porn Videos - XXX Porn Maddy Fields Leaks anal, celebrity Fucking In Fields Indian amateur, brunette, couple, indian, outdoor At Play in the Fields of the Lord (1991) - Daryl Hannah and Kathy Bates celebrity, straight Fields sex with old man old man, amateur, public, voyeur21 subscribers in the maddies_world community. bratty step sis- stepbrother slips it in and ow stepsis wants more s9:e4. que rica cojida le doi a lady, con mucho squirt y gime como una puta. hot milf reverse cowboy rides husband pov. To keep things easy, I use the zest from the same number of oranges I use for juicing, about 3-4 total. Just like in my lemon bundt cake, using fresh citrus really helps the flavor burst through in each bite. Dust with powdered sugar if desired and store the cake in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in an airtight container.īaker’s tip: While you can certainly measure your ingredients by volume (most home bakers do), for the best results, I highly suggest measuring ingredients by weight using a food scale. Allow to cool before removing from the pan. If it comes out gooey then it needs more time. I like to use a toothpick to test for doneness it should come out clean when done but may have a few crumbs. The trickiest part in making this recipe is being careful not to overbake it. If baking in a Bundt, the cake will take 50-60 minutes to bake. If using loaf pans, the cake will be finished in 40-50 minutes. Pour the batter into greased loaf or Bundt pan lined with parchment paper. Just mix the batter until the flour is completely combined. Keeping the mixer on low, add the flour mixture, but do not overmix the batter. Put the mixer on low, and slowly pour in the oil, followed by the orange juice, zest, and vanilla extract. Slowly add oil, orange juice, zest, and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk the flour and baking powder together. Since we’re using oil instead of butter for extra moisture, it’s really important to properly beat your eggs for a light and fluffy crumb. In an electric mixer fitted with whisk attachment or using a handheld mixer, whisk together eggs and sugar on high speed until pale and fluffy, about 5 minutes. This recipe makes enough cake batter for two 8.5×4.5-inch loaf pans or one Bundt pan, but you can always alter the recipe to convert cake pan sizes to fit what you have in your own kitchen. I’m so glad to be able to share this recipe with my daughter and hope you will bake it for friends and family, too. Food is full of memories and my mom’s orange cake is one of my childhood favorites. She always told me to wait for it to cool completely, but my impatience usually won me a slice of warm cake. I vividly remember moments in the kitchen, waiting in anticipation for my mom to take the orange Bundt cake out of the oven. Along with orange cranberry muffins and chocolate orange marble cake, this orange cake is one of my favorite orange-flavored recipes on the blog. Her recipe is something I grew up with, but it wasn’t until a recent nostalgic craving for this citrusy cake that I finally asked her for the recipe. My mom is famous for her orange cake, or perhaps for letting me sneak in a slice before it cooled down completely (my sweet tooth began at an early age). Just be sure to keep that edge on the board.I’m not the only baker in my family. Japanese paring knives benefit from harder steel, which makes for a sharper edge. These are usually screaming sharp, making it quite precarious to choke up on the blade for in-hand work. Western-style Japanese: This is shaped like a classic paring knife, but with less curve in the belly. It is really a unitasker and has no room on our knife strip at home. Bird’s beak: This style has a shorter, curved blade that’s specifically designed for turning vegetables.Kenji Lopez-Alt at Serious Eats touts this style of paring knife to be his favorite, but we find it limiting since the tip isn’t very sharp and it’s really best suited for board work. Sheep’s foot: Resembling a mini santoku, this knife has a rounded tip and an edge that sits flush to the board. We like this style best because it allows us to do a wide range of small jobs, whether in hand or on the board. You can find this style in drop-forged or stamped steel. It usually has the ideal blade length of 3 to 4 inches. European: This classic style looks like a mini chef’s knife that includes a pointed tip, curved belly, and, in some cases, a bolster and full riveted tang. 12/30/2023 0 Comments Night owl person meaningSo the answer to “when are Explorers most productive” may simply be “when they need to be.”Īs any night owls who have chugged coffee to stay awake through a morning meeting – or early birds who have ended up on the graveyard shift – can attest, one’s chronotype may be impossible to change. Pragmatic and spontaneous, Explorers (who replied with 66.16% agreeing and 33.84% disagreeing) fall somewhere between the Analyst / Diplomat pair (who may be more prone to habitually working later than others) and the Sentinels (who have little problem with taking care of business early, even as they are capable of working long hours, should the occasion call for it).Įxplorers, as a role defined by Observant and Prospecting tendencies, would seem to be pulled in two different directions, between the Observant desire to be practical, rising early and getting work done ASAP, and the Prospecting desire to be nonconformists, waiting until the time feels “right” to get down to business, even if that time happens to be when everyone else has packed up and went home. The personality type most likely to be an early bird in this role group was Assertive Consul (ESFJ-A), at 45.38%. That said, the even split may also indicate ambivalence within the role: when asked a question such as, “When are you most productive?” the Sentinel may very well prefer to respond, “Always!” Sentinels, who tend to be industrious and traditional – hard workers and careful planners – are, of the four roles, the one most likely to expend most of their energy at, or soon after, the break of day. 49.86% disagreeing), a role characterized by Observant and Judging traits. Thanks to the shared Intuitive trait, the top 3 night owls belong to one of these two groups: Turbulent Logicians (INTP-T) take the crown with a nearly unanimous vote (83.74% of respondents being more productive in the evening), followed by Turbulent Mediators (INFP-T) with 78.80% and Turbulent Debaters (ENTP-T, 78.48% ).Īlmost perfectly divided between night owls and early birds are the Sentinels (50.14% agreeing vs. Whether waiting until the chaos of daytime phone calls, texts, and emails has subsided, or simply riding the caffeinated wave of an all-nighter to put the finishing touches on a project, the more abstract, speculative mind of an Intuitive seems to do better in a less conventional setting. Perhaps because Intuitives are quicker to flout convention than their more down-to-earth Observant counterparts, they may be more likely to rebel against the more orthodox philosophy of work that maintains productivity is the sole province of early birds. What might these figures say about the impact of a person’s personality type on their working patterns? Let’s take a look at how the responses vary from role to role ( type strategies having little apparent influence here, due to being governed by Extraversion/Introversion and Assertive/Turbulent scales) to better explore the question.īoth these roles had a clear majority of respondents who agreed that “night time is the right time,” matching almost exactly at 75.80% and 72.27%, respectively. However, the biggest difference that could be seen was between Intuitive personality types (an overwhelming 73.36% agreeing) and Observant ones (a rather even split, weighted slightly towards “more productive at night,” with 56.05% agreeing), as well as those who could be classified as Prospecting (74.23% agreeing) as opposed to Judging (57.65% agreeing). And where Extraverted and Introverted, as well as Thinking and Feeling, personality types were pretty evenly matched in agreeing with the statement, there did seem to be a bit of a discrepancy between Turbulent and Assertive variants (69.47% vs. Our chronotype governs when we are most alert and active – and therefore, most productive – during the day (or night, as the case may be), and like many aspects of our behavior, it may very well be influenced by our personality type as well.Īsking our community whether they agreed or disagreed with the statement “You are more productive in the evening than in the morning” provided us with some insight into the potential relationship between chronotype and personality type. Some swear by “early to bed, early to rise,” while for others, burning the midnight oil is the only way to go. 12/30/2023 0 Comments Pnp npnHistorically, designers frequently used the "quasi-complementary" configuration, which uses a Darlington push pair (ie, 2 NPN transistors) and a complementary feedback pull pair (ie, 1 PNP and 1 NPN transistor). This is a very compelling reason to use the Sziklai pair in cases where output power is moderate (25 W to 100 W), fidelity is critical, and relatively low idle power consumption is desired. This means that idle power consumption is on the order of a few watts versus tens of watts for the same performance in many cases. Optimal quiescent current in an amplifier using complementary feedback pairs also tends to be much lower than in Darlington-based output stages, on the order of 10 mA vs 100 mA or more for some emitter follower output stages. This significantly reduces the number of components which must be in thermal contact with the heatsink and reduces the likelihood of thermal runaway. This potentially simplifies the design and implementation of a stable class AB amplifier, reducing the need for emitter resistors. This means that a Sziklai output stage in a class AB amplifier requires only that the bias servo transistor or diodes be thermally matched to the lower power driver transistors they need not (and should not) be placed on the main heatsink. In contrast to the traditional Darlington configuration, quiescent current is much more stable with respect to changes in the temperature of the higher power output transistors vs the lower power drivers. Ĭomplementary feedback pairs can also have the benefit of superior thermal stability under the right conditions. They are especially advantageous in amplifiers where the intended load does not require the use of parallel devices. Like the Darlington, it can saturate to only about 0.6 V, which is a drawback for high-power stages.Ĭomplementary feedback-based output stages Ĭomplementary feedback pairs are often used in the output stages of power amplifiers due to their advantages both in linearity and bandwidth when compared with more common Darlington emitter follower output stages. One advantage over the Darlington pair is that the base turn-on voltage is only about 0.6 V, or about half of the Darlington's 1.2 V nominal turn-on voltage. As with a Darlington pair, a resistor (e.g., 100 Ω to 1 kΩ) can be connected between Q2's emitter and base to improve its turn-off time (i.e., improve its performance for high frequency signals). Likewise, in a typical application the collector of Q2 (also connected to the emitter of Q1) functions as an emitter and is thus labeled "E". Hence the emitter of Q2 is labeled "C" in Figure 1. The emitter of Q2 functions as a collector. In a typical application the Sziklai pair acts somewhat like a single transistor with the same type (e.g., NPN) as Q1 but with a very high current gain (β). By replacing Q1 with a PNP transistor and Q2 with an NPN transistor the pair will act like a PNP transistor overall. Figure 1 shows an NPN-PNP pair that acts like a single NPN transistor overall. The current gain of the Sziklai pair is similar to that of a Darlington pair and is the product of the current gains of the two transistors. In contrast to the Darlington arrangement, the Sziklai pair has one NPN and one PNP transistor, and so it is sometimes also called the "complementary Darlington". In electronics, the Sziklai pair, also known as a complementary feedback pair, is a configuration of two bipolar transistors, similar to a Darlington pair. Sziklai pair that acts like a single NPN transistor with collector C, emitter E, and base B. |
